BACK TO NATURE

Not the best introduction to spring last weekend!with below average temperatures, the chill & wind factors interrupted our weekly kayaking,I was extremely disappointed,my breakfast boy, come water boy wasn't so much!so on the agenda was some gardening.A few weeks ago we had two giant camphor laurels cut down which we are pleased about but thought with all the noise of the chainsaws frightened some of the wildlife away, not so! with the discovery of lots of "poo pellets" on the ground we looked up into the gum tree next door and who was there...none other than "kelly koala"of course we named her! all that work and excitement gave us an appetite, so we booked for lunch at the "rock lobster", after grazing for a few hours on seafood and a nice bottle of red we meandered around town before returning home for a siesta!
Sunday took us to Kotara shopping centre for a xmas shopping expedition...much achieved!

paradise not lost

Such a balmy night after a sultry "early" summer day!
Today started out with breakfast in bed as usual, day 6 actually, day seven still does'nt get me to the kitchen table! after my "all bran" & coffee, me ,my breakfast boy & all our enthusiasm jumped in the car & headed for beautiful Shoal Bay, which is only 10 minutes from our humble abode;here we hired our kayaks, our new "get fit" regime has begun!During the 1/2 hour of paddling in the pristine waters of the bay,my "breakfast boy" managed to topple out of his boat, lose his oar,cap & ego.water boy...NO,boat boy...NO!,handyman...well there is a list??
All jokes aside (including breakfast boy) we had a fun day basking in the sun at one mile beach.
